The Federal Authority for Identification and Citizenship (ICA) of the United Arab Emirates has revealed a list of 15 services that have been upgraded in its smart services system to improve the services offered to citizens, residents, and visitors, according to the most recent development.
Among the most significant changes is the introduction of a 30-day visa extension service for visitors with 90-day visas. In addition, the updated service pertains to the extension of a relative’s or friend’s visit visa for a single trip or multiple journeys of 30, 60, or 90 days. In addition, visitors could anticipate an updated policy regarding the extension of visa validity prior to entry.
A service for issuing visas to family groups travelling to the United Arab Emirates for tourism, medical treatment, or to accompany a patient, whether for a single trip or multiple trips lasting between 60 and 180 days, is among the additional enhancements to the intelligent system.
Do Indian visitors to Dubai require a tourist visa?
Yes, the majority of Indian citizens who wish to visit Dubai would need a Dubai tourist visa to access the United Arab Emirates. Certain categories of Indian nationals who are eligible for the UAE visa-on-arrival program are exempt from this requirement.
The following categories of Indian nationals are eligible to obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 days in the United Arab Emirates:

There are currently four different categories of tourist visas available.
- Tourist visa for short stays with a single entry. 30 days duration
- Short-term tourism visa – multiple entries. 30 days from the date of the initial entry
- Long-term tourism visa - single entry. 90 days duration
- Long-term visitor visa – multiple entries.
- Visit visa - single entry, valid for 90 days from the date of the initial entrance. 60 days from the issuance date
- All available tourist visas have a validity period of 60 days from the date of issuance.

In general, the following documents are required:
A 66 cm colour photograph (minimum 600600 pixels) with a white background in which at least 80% of your visage is visible.
a colour copy of your Indian passport containing your full name, nationality, date and place of birth, passport number, date of issue and expiration, father’s/guardian’s name, and mother’s name.
valid passport with at least six months remaining before departure a duplicate of your preferred airline’s flight ticket
Note that depending on the airline, juveniles and children under 18 may be required to present additional documentation, such as birth certificates and photo identifications of parents or spouses.

Please note that the UAE Consulate in India does not issue visit/tourist visas to Indian citizens travelling to the UAE on conventional passports.

Making visa arrangements through travel agencies and hotels
You have the option to have your travel agent or hotel register for a tourist visa on your behalf. Note that you will need to confirm that the travel agency or hotel is licensed and authorized by the appropriate UAE authorities prior to submitting any payment or documents.

Arranging your visit visa through VFS Global
Indian tourists can also register for a Dubai tourist visa at VFS Global Visa Application Centres in India, which has been entrusted by both the Government of Dubai in India and Emirates, Dubai’s national airline.
To apply for a Dubai tourist visa from India, please follow the below steps:
Step 1: Complete the online application
After selecting the type of Dubai tourist visa you wish to
apply for, you must download the visa application form from the VFS Global
website, fill out and print the form, and bring it along with the required
documents to the Visa Application Centre.
Step 2: Pay the visa application fee
After completing and submitting the visa application form,
you must pay the visa application charge. If you download and print the form
before submitting it at the Visa Application Centre, payment can be made at
that time.
Please note that you must pay the visa fee in cash, by
credit card, or by demand draft at the Visa Application Centre.
Step 3: Submit the visa application form
After completing and filling out your visa application form,
you can send it off at the visa application centre without making an
appointment beforehand.
You may submit the completed visa application form in person
or through a representative at the Visa Application Centre. The following
requirements must be met by registrants on the day of submission:
- Visa applications can be submitted at the centre by either the applicant or their representative
- A token is issued to the applicant or their representative (at some centres, if applicable), after which they can proceed to the submission officer's workstation.
- Bring the visa application form duly filled and signed, along with coloured reproductions of your passport's bio and last page, a recent passport-sized photograph, a confirmed Emirates return / along with other supporting documents as per eligibility requirements.
- Your original passport must have at least two (2) open pages for verification purposes.
- The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months following the date of travel.
- Visa fees may be paid in cash, by credit card, or by demand draft. Upon payment, obtain the original Invoice cum receipt (ICR) copy from the cashier. Upon submission, your visa will be sent to the email address listed on the Visa application form within two to three working days.
Dubai Visitor visa from India cost
The cost of procuring a Dubai tourist visa varies according to the individual airlines or visa application centres and is subject to change. Consult individual airlines for the most recent fee information and revisions.
Emirates Airlines currently charges USD 90 (INR 7,141) for a single-entry short-term tourist visa and USD 177 (INR 14,538) for a single-entry long-term tourist visa. Etihad currently charges USD 450 (INR 36,961) for a single-entry short-term tourist visa and USD 750 (INR 61,603) for a single-entry long-term tourist visa.

A customer service representative at the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has confirmed that the prices for all categories of UAE and Dubai visas, including tourist visas valid for 30 and 60 days, have increased by AED 100. The fee for an ICA-issued one-month visit visa, for example, has increased from AED 270 to AED 370
Dubai Travel visa from India grace period
According to the most recent announcement, foreign nationals who have overstayed their visa in the UAE are unable to depart the country without an out pass or exit permit.
The Dubai/UAE outpass can be obtained from airport and land border immigration facilities. Additionally, the out pass or departure permit can be obtained from the Al Awir Immigration office.
According to reports, the Dubai/UAE out pass or exit permit costs between AED 200 (INR 1,6427) and AED 300 (INR 6,710). Overstayers will also be required to pay the complete AED 50 (INR 1,118) per day of overstay fines. The grace period for UAE visit visa recipients is ten days from the visa’s expiration date, after which overstay penalties will accrue.

Dubai Visitor visa from India extension
All forms of Dubai tourist visas may be extended twice for an additional 30 days. Generally, you will be charged AED 600 (INR 13,286) to renew your tourist visa.
As previously stated, holders of Dubai tourist visas must leave and re-enter the country in order to extend their visas, and they must ensure that the renewal procedure can be completed prior to expiration.
Additionally, unused Duabi visitor visas must be cancelled or extended. Depending on the travel agent, the cancellation of an inactive visa could cost up to AED 300 (INR 6,708).
