The Federal Skilled Trades Program provides access to Canada Permanent Residency
The Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP) assists immigrants in obtaining employment in Canada. Consequently, this aids them in obtaining a Canada PR. The FSTP affords Overseas Workers the opportunity to receive an invitation to register for Canadian PR.
Each year, the Canadian government publishes a list of prospective immigrants. NOC stands for National Occupational Classification. This list comprises the skilled occupations that are in limited supply in the country, according to QuickVisaSolutions. Each year, nearly 3000 immigrants are invited to apply for permanent residency in Canada through the FSTP. Let’s quickly examine the various facets of this program.
Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
Among the initiatives managed by the Express Entry immigration system is the Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP). The FSTP is designed to facilitate the immigration to Canada of foreign trade labourers with experience in eligible trade occupations.
It is not the only method for Canadian skilled workers to apply for permanent residence. There are additional methods to immigrate to Canada as an unskilled worker, but they do not involve a fast-track program like Express Entry.
The first step is to determine if you qualify as a competent tradesperson under federal law. Then, you can register via the Express Entry system. In addition, you must possess a valid job offer or qualification certificate in order to be considered eligible.
Your ultimate objective is to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) from the Express Entry system to be considered for permanent residence in all Canadian provinces (except Québec) and territories, with the exception of receiving a provincial nomination from a Canadian province or territory. Then, you must reside in the province or territory that endorsed you.
Federal Skilled Trades Program Eligibility Criteria:
There are five distinct categories of FSTP eligibility requirements.
Work experience requirement:
The NOC is comprised of five distinct proficiency levels: 0, A, B, C, and D. The talent level A is restricted to only 100 individuals. However, level B abilities are not limited and include the following:
